A Royal Worcester perfume bottle made for Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887. It features her "young head" on one side and the floral emblems of England, Scotland & Wales together with the names of some of the countries of the British Empire at the time including India and Australia on the other. It has a silver cover that is not hallmarked probably because it is mixed metals for the screw thread. It is just over 1 inch (3 cm) in diameter and has a small chip on the "India" garland near the top on the reverse side. Otherwise it is in good condition with no other chips, cracks or repairs. A Meissen 19th century cup and saucer with a transfer printed & hand finished design with gold trim that would date to around 1880. It has a floral design on the cup & saucer border and the saucer has a stag & deer scene in the centre. The cup is 2 1/2 inches (6.4 cm) high by 3 1/4 inches (8.3 cm) diameter at the top and the deeply dished saucer is approximately 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) diameter. Both pieces have the underglaze blue Meissen crossed swords mark to their bases.It has the double line cancellation mark to both marks as the cup has a dark spot on the inside base but the saucer appears OK. The cup also has a small chip to the inner base ring that does not show through to the outside. Price: AU$195.00
